I’m Elder Law Attorney Tim Jarvis. I know from personal experience the mental, emotional, and financial hardships that go hand in hand with the issues seniors face. I began my career as a financial advisor, but through my own grandmother’s battle with Alzheimer’s … watching someone I loved dearly disappear before my eyes … I discovered my true path as an Elder Law attorney.

To me, the field of Elder Care and Estate Planning is all about helping people. Making a positive difference in seniors’ lives, and the lives of their families. All so that they may live their golden years with dignity, vigor, and the comfort of knowing that while they’re here, they won’t be a burden… and long after they’re gone, their loved ones will be taken care of.

I’ve been there before myself… Before my grandmother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, I was a financial advisor working in Cincinnati. Presuming I was the one best-suited to deal with the impending financial dilemma facing my grandmother and her estate, my family sent me to deal with implementing a plan for her care.

And I’ll tell you, it was hard. Emotionally, mentally, and physically draining.

It’s hard to even express the relief I felt after sitting down with an Elder Law attorney and learning exactly what was going on and what my options were.

While it was still difficult to watch someone I loved dearly disappearing before my eyes, I knew that there was help.

I was not alone.

I knew from that moment that I wanted to help others as they walked the path of Elder Care.

As an Elder Law attorney, I am in the unique position to help others in my situation. This means dealing with not only the overwhelming financial and legal aspects of aging and illness, but being a comfort through the emotional toll and grief this process can take on you.
